Join the ACSS Denmark chapter and host Danish Shipping (Danske Rederier) for an insightful view from government representatives of Cyprus, Malta and Denmark on the approach each takes to maritime sanctions. In addition, Cyprus will also present perspectives on sanctions in its current role as president of the European Council for the first half of 2026.

    • Our host at Danish Shipping – Thomas Sylvest will start with welcoming attendees

    • Our Chapter Chair from Ramboll – Jeff Nielsen will follow with a brief welcome on behalf of the ACSS Denmark chapter and to introduce both the subject and speakers.

      • Denmark – Malene Axelsen Mundt, Head of Section for Maritime Law, Danish Maritime Agency (Danish agency responsible for maritime sanctions)

      • Malta – Captain Fritz Farrugia, Chief Officer & Harbour Master (Malta’s agency responsible for maritime sanctions)

      • Cyprus – Ambassador Panayiotis Kyriacou, Ambassador from Cyprus to Denmark

    • Questions & Answers.

  • 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. – cocktails, snacks networking

Certificates of Attendance for Chapter Events

All ACSS members who attend Chapter Events will be identified and issued a Certificate of Attendance through our system. Certificates can be used to earn ACSS credits, which contribute to recertification and eligibility for ACSS certification.
