One South, 101 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28280

The ACSS Charlotte Ambassador invites you to the first event, “Beyond the Sanctions List: What Operation Economic Outcast Means for Financial Institutions”

Sanctions risk increasingly extends beyond direct matches to designated individuals and entities. This panel will explore how financial institutions can identify indirect exposure through intermediaries, ownership structures, payment networks, digital assets, and other methods of sanctions evasion. We’ll also look at recent enforcement and policy developments, including Operation Economic Outcast and Iran-related activity, as practical case studies for how sanctions risk is evolving and what that means for compliance programs.

The goal is to keep the discussion practical and relevant across sanctions, AML, financial crime, and broader risk teams, rather than tying the session exclusively to one enforcement initiative or jurisdiction.
